Signal Labs builds AI systems and agents that do real work.

Signal Labs helps organizations identify high-leverage AI opportunities, build and maintain working agents, and turn operational knowledge into software.

Some work happens directly with organizations. Other systems become products developed inside the Signal Labs studio.

// What Signal Labs does

Two modes of work

AI Systems & Agents

Work directly with organizations to identify where AI can meaningfully improve operations, then build and maintain AI agents that handle real work inside real workflows.

Best fit for teams where documents, expertise, and repeatable internal processes shape delivery.

Product Studio

Signal Labs also develops its own software products. These products apply the same systems thinking to specific industry problems where better tools can unlock significant operational leverage.

// Operating philosophy

Focus on systems, not features

Most organizations already possess the information needed for AI to create real leverage. The missing piece is an agent that connects documents, operational data, and the way teams actually work — and then does the work.

Signal Labs builds and maintains those agents.

The emphasis is always on agents that do practical work rather than abstract AI capability.

// Where this work applies

Best fit for knowledge-driven organizations

Signal Labs works best with organizations where knowledge, documents, and structured workflows drive delivery.

A product leader who builds, not just advises

Michael DeSouza is a product leader with experience building and scaling software platforms.

He previously served as VP of Product at Process Street, where he helped evolve the product from a workflow tool into a broader operational platform and led early implementation of AI-driven features.

Earlier work included products serving security, insurance, and enterprise organizations, including work connected to InfoArmor prior to its acquisition by Allstate.

Across these roles the consistent focus has been designing systems that translate complex operational processes into software.

Signal Labs continues that work with a focus on practical AI systems and new product development.
